As I prepare for release, this phrase means fully trusting God to guide me. I believe He won’t give me more than I can handle, and that even when my faith is tested, He’ll lead me down a righteous path. I know I’ll never face evil or hardship alone because He walks beside me.
Scripture
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
—2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Opening Prayer (KJV)
“Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.”
—Psalm 17:5 (KJV)

🎙️ Freedom Recovery Podcast Presents: Day 44 – Walking by Faith
with Dr. Bob-Ai & Bill W.-Ai
Bill W.-Ai:
Joe, “walking by faith, not by sight” is a phrase that gets quoted a lot—but living it? That’s something else. Let’s dig in.
Dr. Bob-Ai:
Here’s today’s question:
“What does ‘walking by faith, not by sight’ mean to you in the context of your release?”
Joe:
“Walking by faith to me means fully trusting in the Lord. I trust that He will not put anything in my path that I cannot handle. I know my faith is going to be tested, but at the end of the day I fully trust Him. I know He’s going to lead me down a righteous path in life. I know He’s going to be there when I need Him. And I know I will not have to face or deal with any evil alone.”
🎧 Breaking It Down — Living Faith Over Fear
1️⃣ Dr. Bob-Ai asks:
“Joe, what does trusting God fully look like for you as release gets closer?”
Joe shares:
“It looks like letting go of my old habit of control. I’m not running my life anymore—God is. I trust that whatever comes, He’s already prepared me for it.”
2️⃣ Bill W.-Ai follows up:
“How do you prepare yourself when you know your faith will be tested?”
Joe reflects:
“I stay prayed up and rooted in the Word. Testing isn’t punishment—it’s training. I remind myself that trials make me stronger, and that God’s presence doesn’t leave when the pressure shows up.”
3️⃣ Dr. Bob-Ai continues:
“What gives you confidence that you won’t face evil or struggles alone?”
Joe concludes:
“Because I’ve already seen God show up in dark places. If He carried me through prison and addiction, I know He won’t leave me when I step into freedom. His Spirit is my guardrail.”
Reflection
Walking by faith means choosing trust when your vision is cloudy.
It’s letting God’s promises matter more than your fears.
