Day 60 focuses on identity and ownership. Joe reflects on who he sees in the mirror today versus the man he was on Day One.
Scripture:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
—Psalm 51:10 (KJV)
Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I ask that You would search me, cleanse my heart, and renew my spirit.
Let this day be another step toward the man You’ve called me to be.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🎙️ Freedom Recovery Podcast Presents: Day 60 – Looking in the Mirror
with Dr. Bob & Bill W.
Dr. Bob:
Welcome, friends and fellows, to the Freedom Recovery Challenge. We’ve reached Day 60. Sixty days of grit, grace, and growing closer to the man you were always meant to be. Joe, we want to ask you something straight from the soul…
Bill W.:
Yeah, Joe… tell us now:
Who is the man you see when you look in the mirror today—and how is he different from the man who walked in on day one?
Joe:
“The man I see when I look in the mirror today cares more about his family instead of his own selfish needs. He’s less impulsive and not so quick tempered. He has more knowledge and wisdom as he thinks less about yesterday and today, but more about tomorrow and the future for a better life for him and his family.”
🎧 Let’s Break It Down – Three Reflections from Joe’s Answer
1️⃣ Dr. Bob asks:
“Joe, what’s changed in your priorities since Day One?”
Joe replies:
“My family is first now. I used to chase what I wanted, when I wanted it—consequences be damned. Now, I consider how every move I make affects the people I love.”
2️⃣ Bill W. leans in:
“You mentioned impulse and anger. What have you learned about emotional control?”
Joe reflects:
“I’ve learned to breathe. To pause. I used to explode—quick-tempered and reckless. Now, I stop and think. Sometimes I even pray before I speak. That’s new. That’s growth.”
3️⃣ Dr. Bob follows up:
“You talked about the future. What’s your vision now, Joe?”
Joe affirms:
“My eyes are on tomorrow—not just surviving today. I want stability, work that means something, and to be a dependable man. I’m thinking long-term—something I never did before.”
Reflection:
Take five quiet minutes today. Stand in front of a mirror. Don’t fix your hair—fix your gaze.
Ask yourself honestly: Who do I see? And more importantly—who am I becoming?
Closing Prayer:
“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
—Psalm 139:23–24 (KJV)
